Project Information
I have had this small piece of cottonwood burl staring at me ever since my buddy Robert Triplett sent it to me a LONG time ago. I decided to use it in my latest hinge experiment. This is a modification of Jerry's hinge that he did a blog on. Box body is Jatoba with cottonwood burl panel in the lid. Dimensions: 9 1/2×5 1/2×3 1/2". Finished with rubbed on shellac. The lift is a piece of live edge from the cottonwood burl.
Thanks to Robert, Jerry, and the rest of the LJ community who have taught me what little I know of woodworking/finishing.
