My niece was turning 3 and continually climbing out of her crib. My sister asked me if I could come up with something that would hold her crib mattress. Obviously I had to go above and beyond what she was requesting! Started on a Friday and presented it to Adelyn on Sunday for her 3rd birthday. She has not crawled out of bed since. Again all reclaimed wood. Red oak stain to match their existing 1900’s trim. Love to watch ‘em grow up!!

Awesome to begin with but to use reclaimed wood also, that just makes it better. Are the post solid 4×4’s? What kind of hardware did you use to attach side to head and foot board? I could see your design easily being used as a crib also and then adding the sides later for a regular twin bed.
