I wanted to build something to hold my Festool rail so they don’t get damaged or bumped into. I did some looking on Festool’s user group (FOG) and found nothing that really meant my design needs. So I came up with this design that fits right between my wood rack and garage door. The basic design is really just a trough that keeps the rails in place and a capscrew to hold the rails using the supplied hole already on the guide rails. I had some left over cheap 3/4 ply I used to build my wood rack. A french cleat design was used to mount the hanger to my wall. I counterbored the back of the hanger support so the capscrew head did not protrude. I did not want the guide rail hole to wear so I added skrink tubing to the capscrew. Nothing special with joinery, just some simple biscuits and screws along the top.
