This is a captain’s bed I made for my teenage daughter. Made to her request that it must be higher than her sister’s and not painted. She takes pleasure with her friends of seeing who can jump on it without using their hands.
Drawers and arches are walnut. Faceframes are cherry. The rest is Maple plywood. Full extension drawer slides.
Completed Spring of 2008. The room has not been that clean since!

Nice workmanship! Shiver me timbers!
Tell her she needs to Batten Down the Hatches and swab the decks!
Great job Henry.

Nice looking project. Even has unused storage. Looks like she got what she wanted. That’s more than most teens can say!

Henry, I love it. I think you just added to my to-do list since I made the mistake of showing it to my daughter.

That’s really great. Nice job on that. Good design for a bed, especially in a small room.
