I was moving stuff in the shed to get at the air conditioner and found some crate paintings left on the backburner for another day, to finalise details and clearcoat for sale.

I use panels off small crates, sand the rough sawn lumber, leaving some texture, and throw a scene on them. This one still has a barn to finish in the background.

Thes are fun to do and make rustic decoration for the cottage crowd that inundates this area in the summer.

This one was for a business but there was an extreme difference in agreement on price so I never put the motorcycle below the name. I keep it to show people my work.

Those are great. Reclaim the wood for functional art. Cool idea.

Beautiful scene painting Phil. Do you ever use canvas? Maybe you should, and start hanging your work in galleries. jockmike

Not just a craftsman, but also an artist. Oh wait, that belongs in another thread.

Nice job Phil. I love all of those outdoors scenes. I bet they do well with the tourists too.

Mike, I do paintings on canvas and on masonite for galleries. I do a lot of my own frames to get the distressed look I like.
