this is my first attempt at making a chair, in between making bowls I decided I liked building furniture as well as working the lathe, opening up my world some. Mark C. has been inspiring to see his diverse talent, I see the skys the limit. The bowl above the spoon is made of white oak and has an ebony ring around the top the last bowl is made of poplar and has ebony for a top knob.

That chair is so comfortable! It is also so detailed, look at all of those slats and wooden dowels, that had to be time comsuming. You have to have a lot of patience.
This website is very cool and I am so excited you found it! Finally, a way for the world to see how talented you are. There are some pieces on your page I haven’t seen yet… and WOW!!! These works of art are just amazing…. You have so much artistic ability, and have only scratched the surface.
I had to open a page, so I can see what all you’re working on… and so I can drop a line, now and again.

Thank you so much, I’m not used to so many kind remarks about my work. Actually I’m just a beginner and feel humbled next to guys like Mark C. , Roger, Pat Sherman. There are so many great artists here I feel honored just to have people look at my work. Thank you again for the kind and encouraging words, the lathe is my first love, but I’m slowly starting to get into furniture and sculpture, which I took courses in college in. Mike
