Table Saw dust adjustment

My craftsman table saw had the dust collection on the bottom with a bag and a 10” opening – trying to move towards a more integrated dust collection system, I needed to change the bottom plate.

The only one I found was a 4” plate – so I had to also cut out a new attachment plate.

My current dust system is a 2 1/2” hose to my shop vac – it’s all I’ve got at the moment

This is the result – it’s not pretty but it’s functional

That should reduce the time spent in cleanup of saw dust.

thanks all – yes so far the benefit has been incredible – still need to build the overhead collector – that’s a whole other project that could take weeks lol
