Been working long days and nights to get this set finished, I really love making these. All eastern red cedar with 8 coats of clear polyurethane gloss finish. The table is 4’ X 8’ 3” thick table top with 8’ long side benches.

Beautiful work. I have a brother to it in blue pine that I will post next week.

-- Mother Nature created it, I just assemble it.

Heavy duty finish on that puppy….well done Todd. Speaking of heavy, how much does this set weigh?

350lbs for the top and legs, about another 200 for the two benches and about 70lbs for the two chairs. Total would be 620 lbs.

Wow, What a nice table and benches!! I love that red cedar. I had occasion to use some this week and I’ll post it tomorrow.

You work with a lot of cedar, does the poly stay on it okay? I coated an outdoor cedar chase lounge with it and it peeled on me. So now I always use an oil finish on it. It put a scare in me for that combo. l may have just had some bad poly!

Cheers, Jim

wow, that’s a hoss. its a surprise that Angie doesn’t have back issues having to tote you and that monster both around the shop…lol Don’t know if I have a bench strong enough to support work on a project like that!!!

Very nice table and benches! The tall chairs look cool but we need more pics of them. LOVE the legs on the table!

That set looks fantastic. Those chairs are sensational.
