Here is my version of Marc Spagnuolo’s Cutting Board in Jatoba & Sassafras. It’s my first cutting board, but watching Marc’s video, he made it look so easy, I had to give it a try. This is not an end grain. I was going to do the end grain, but I liked the grain of the Sassafras too much. My daughter wants to make one for herself.
I’ve learned that even though everything looked lined up for the final glue up, it wasn’t. Of course, that is where my eyes go RIGHT away now. But on the whole, it was fun to make, and I will be making more for next Christmas as presents.

I like the Jatoba and Sassafras. I never heard of Sassafras used in cutting boards. that is great.
