This is some before and after picture of a renovation that my sister flew me to Calgary to do for her. The catch was is had to be done in 10 days. The job was completed except for a couple small pieces of trim which we ran out of. She was very capable of cutting them and putting them in place. All the neighbours thought I was crazy even trying to get it done 10 days, but it took 2 months in the planning and a lot of emails and phone calls to get it arranged. The next door neighbour was jealous as he has been doing the similar reno for 2 months and that was with a contractor doing the work when he felt like showing up.This is what had to be done—- new floor in kitchen, family room, hall, bathroom, and laundry, bay window in family room, kitchen cupboards, backsplash, counter top, trim, wall unit around fireplace, step down to familyroom, toilet, vanity, new pipes, new electrical.

Kudos to you for accomplishing so much in such little time. I have been there before and it’s no fun. Just think, without family, your ‘to do’ list would be much shorter :-) I think that is something that all handy men and women have come accustomed to.

I am sure that your sister is very thankful and very happy with the results. It looks great!!

Don’t you just love it when a plan comes together. So often they don’t. Great job and thanks for posting.

It looks great. We’ve been working on our kitchen for more years than I would like to remember, but my wife never forgets. Maybe I’ll have to fly you to my place so I can finally get it done.

With how fast you got all that done, it sound like one of those TV shows on HGTV. Great work!

Great job and a plan that worked. Wow. Your sis ought to be proud of you and the work you did.
