first one is blood wood and maple with matching pen and pencil
2nd is lace wood and maple 3rd one not shure what kind of wood it is
wood was given to me
bandsaw box wood blank picked up at yard sale dont now what it is used
purple heart for inlay amd bloodwood on bottom of lid

the first one was a present for my oldest daughter for her birthday.
my 14 year old daughter made the pens while i was making the box
funning thing only took her about 30 min.s to make both pen and pencil
so she was looking over my shoulder for 2 days giving me a hard time
“what is taking you so long”
i will post some of her turning work soon she is getting good at it

Eddy have you heard of Answer wood products?
They are off the I-15 by Ontario…they have the best selection of wood in the Inland Impire and also the best prices.
Very nice projects you have the talent!

Jim yes i have been going to awnser for wood and rockler for all me daughters pen making kits and blanks
sign up on there web site and they (rockler) send you e-mails for 20% off anything in the store from time to time that’s how i got her lathe rockler gets there wood for in the store from awnser also they get first crack at the stuff that comes in so if you are looking for something special and awnser doesn’t have it ck rockler
