Reclaimed kitchen shelf

The sides are reclaimed cedar fence boards, the top is from a salvaged wood bridge in eastern WA.
Shelves and back are aged fence boards.
This is un-finished to match some other items in the kitchen. The fresh cut ends of the top were coated with some home-made steel wool rust, then lightly sanded. The top also received a coat of rust, then “sanded” with a wire brush, then a light sanding to knock down any splinters.

I like it, I always enjoy looking at or building anything primitive or rustic, the choice of wood and color combination is spot on, I like the use of chicken wire for the sides, nice touch.
