This is my first fountain pen that I have turned. It is made of olive wood and finished with two coats of friction polish. I placed a few burned indentions in for aesthetics and it seemed to work well. I am fairly new to wood turning and have very much enjoyed this hobby and all the studying it takes and it is true if I am able to do this then anyone is. It was hard to let this one go, I might have to order one and made one for myself. Enjoy!

Beautiful job my friend.
I have just started making pens and enjoy it.
I haven’t tried a fountain pen yet, but when I do, I hope it comes out half as nice as yours.
Great work.

I like to do the burned in ascents also. Now I find myself looking at every scarp piece of wood or branch in the yard as a possible pen. One thing I did was to get some extra tubs just to try different thinks.

Have your say...
