One of Three – Built this for my Great Nephew – Black Walnut with Ebony accents….Tiger striped, book-matched with a poly finish….should last okay,....Lucked out on the piece of wood from the stock pile – gotta love BW!

Thanks all – Ya, I’m guessing the kid won’t even see the thing until he’s in his 20’s, but still fun to give em a hard time about stealing from their kids! – I did order the torsion hinges and finish hardware from Rockler – will retro-fit….just in case the kids do get to use them. The lid has an adjustment that can be taken off later so it won’t fit air tight. I’m thinking about having it prof. photographed – my pictures don’t do justice – best figured walnut I’ve ever come across in one board.
