Constructed from some very nice quarter sawn and flecked Red Oak. I am very happy with how this table turned out, but less happy with the stain colour chosen. I looked fine on a sample, but after applying it to the table, I wasn’t particularly happy with how orange it looked. The legs were laminated blocks, then turned 45 degrees before cutting the shape. This allowed me to hide the joints on the edges of the legs and get approximate quarter sawn wood on all four faces. Quite a bit of waste but the look is well worth it.
This table was made for and given as a gift so is no longer in my home.
