I thought I’d try my hand at this, first one I have made. Learned a lot! It does seem to work really well though.
I made the plane iron from a broken heavy-duty Starrett hack saw blade, stuff is extremely hard, still working at getting a good edge on it, but it is close. I am going to make a second iron a little longer, to make it easier to adjust.
Woods; Purple-heart, Maple,
Finish; Linseed oil.
