Well except for the hinges and door clasp/lock I have managed to complete the display cabinet for my pens and smalls (OOPS should be small turned items).

Made from a single plank of Sapele some MDF and perspex. I also borrowed the idea from a member on another forum for the mirror on a roll for the back and shelves.

I apologise for the photo especially the reflection

Very nice looking display case. It looks great and should show of your pens and Oops (-: beautifully. What type of joinery did you use at the corners and what are the sizes of the rails and stiles?

The uprights are from 1” square and stepped on the inside the top and bottom rails are 3/4” square stock and the centre is 1” the bottom of the centre and top rail have been routed to accept the perspex sheet. The ends of all the cross members are also stepped to give a larger glue area to the uprights.
The two shelves just sit in their respective positions and hold the bottom of the sheet so they can replaced easily if needed
