A couple of months ago my good friend Randy dropped off a maple stump that he had drying for about a year and this is what came of it. This is one of two bowls that came from the stump. This bowl measures approximately 8 inches at its widest point and stands just at 3.5 inches tall. It was a fun turn and absolutely amazing grain pattern that showed. I especially love how there are two shades to the wood and its split nearly right down the middle. Turned and then sanded to 400 grit then 3 coats of wipe on poly applied. Hope you enjoy.
