In our old house our kitchen was really small and didn’t have alot of storage space. Which was fine for a single guy, but after getting married and getting all those kitchen gadgets at the wedding. We had no place to store them. Plus we needed a place for the wine bottles and glasses and extra layout space. So after months of searching for something, I designed this and Beth signed off on it and away I went.

I built this to go with another project I uploaded, the Display Cabinet. This thing is solid oak and oak plywood. It weighs about 400 pounds!!! Luckily my wife is VERY strong and we were able to move it around.

The only thing I would change now is the doors. They are horribly built, but for my second REAL furniture project, this sucker will last FOREVER.

As we are in a new house, the style doesn’t go with dining room and more. So I am looking into stripping it down and redoing the style of the piece. Or I will sell it to a friend that is in love with it and start over.
