I saw the plans for this in a magazine a while back and thought it would be great for my hardware storage and it looked fun to make. Lots of small compartments for your hardware. The guts are 1/2 plywood with grooves to accept hardboard bottoms. I trimmed it out in pine. On the bottom is a lazy suzan (turn table) to make access easy.

Do you know which mag it was in?

I am not sure which magazine it came from. I just recently found this website and so I went around photographing some of my projects that I did in the past. Most of my projects were from magazines but none of the magazines are fresh in my mind but if I come across it, I will post.

There is a plan very similar to this in the companion book (The Complete Small Shop) that I received with my subscription to Shop Notes. But the plan is for a Revolving Tool Station. There is storage for tools below and drawers for small stuff. Looks like you can make pretty good use of the top of it too. I’m sure it would take up way too much space for my small shop. The image isn’t too good, scanned from the book…...

WarMammoth, Welcome to LumberJocks.
Nicely built organizer, I am sure very useful. The plan for it does appear in the Supplement “The Complete Small Shop” on page 20.
Thanks for posting, look forward to seeing some more soon.

Thanks Chris, I looked right over it. I knew I had seen it somewhere. I’m bad for starting at the back of a magazine when I’m looking for something.

most people read from back to front,... good mags are designed Front to back and Back to front.

Clever storage, I can see it being really handy – and almost begging to help keep the work bench top clear. (or ai could hope)
