The flag box is for a friend’s dad who had past. It’s made of 5/4 oak and ¾ dark cedar (I think) I like the rectangle shape as its going top of a bookcase. The brass screws are half way counter sunken and filed away, so they look like round stock or pins. I don’t have any pics of them finished but you get the idea. I know you can just buy brass rods but this way you get the strength of the screws and they file down so fast. The patch was from his dads favorite hat, a very deep breath was taking before removing the patch, I didn’t think this was going to be such a emotional project but it was. Thanks for looking.

Nicely crafted and it will look great on a bookcase or shelf.
