my ladies 3rd carving

Project by kolwdwrkr posted 264 days ago 1028 views 1 time favorited 19 comments Add to Favorites Watch

This is my girlfriends 3rd carving. It is carved in solid maple. I know, I know, everyone thinks she should get her own profile and page but we have discussed it and she says she won’t come on here for anything and that there was no point. So I offered to change my name to include her but she insisted that everyone knows me as kolwdwrkr and to not change it. So that is where we are with that. I’m just glad that she has an interest in carving. It’s fun to be in the garage with her. Enjoy.
Please don’t pay attention to the material. We are using up what little we have. It’s the carving that counts.

I hope that you weren’t the model Keith.

Tell her another great job. Is her hand healing OK.

I always like Maple that’s been carved…carving it is another thing. Beautiful work.

Not as good as the first ones. This design is weak and not thought out well. The rock she is sitting on is behind the rock her hands are resting on. Awkward. The horizon line and hair should not meet. The smooth carvings to me are not as pleasing as the first rougher ones that show the carving marks, more character in those. Just my opinion on this piece. Good concept though. Not an authority, just have my druthers on a subject. Great to see she still has the desire to keep on carving. Really do look forward to seeing more of her work.

She sure is a natural Keith. If she came on as Mrs Kolwdwrkr we would know.

Keith, you must be one hell of a good teacher or she has some pretty natural talents. Either way the carving looks great.

Someone complained about the perspective of the hands. What guy is looking at the frakkin hands?
