This project was started early last year. I hit a brick wall when it came to making the drawers. A few weeks ago I decided to get past this situation by deciding to hang these drawers on side mounted metal drawer slides. Still it was a challenge that had its roots in difficulties and learning experiences in using a biscuit joiner for the first time. I thought I took precautions to measure and set cutting fences, etc. Something happened that caused inaccuracy in the placement of shelf panels, by small fractions of an inch. Oh well, I have to learn from my mistakes.

I am pleased how well these cherry drawer fronts make this dresser.

Kayln, I hope you can enjoy this dresser for a long time. Remember how much your papa loves you and wishes you well.

Last night I sort of had a neighborhood party in order to get help to load this very heavy dresser into my fifth wheel trailer. Six neighbors volunteered. Of course, their wives also showed up so they could see these completed projects. It was a nice thing they did for me. Each one there, like here, had some nice things to say.

Thank you. Everyone.
