I looked at a picture of Norm Abrams’ “Ultimate Router Table” and kinda sorta copied it with a few of my tweaks …and mine is a little bigger.

Wow!
That is a beast for sure.
What are you using for a router?
I like the contrast of the white laminate & the oak.

Bill, I’m almost ashamed to tell you. Of all the power tools and machines in my shop, that’s probably the weakest link. It’s a 1-3/4 HP single speed dewalt. Don’t laugh.

Hahahahahaha!

Oh, wait, that’s what I use in my router table! A DeWalt DW616. You can just see it here

I bought it just to complete the router table and figured I would upgrade later. It’s been 7 or 8 years now and I just never felt the need for more. In fact, it has never left the table. I have an old Craftsman that I use for any routing off of the table. Absolutely no need to be ashamed of that router.

Last I checked… there wasn’t a mandatory competition requirement …. :^)

That’s a great looking router table. You’re going to love putting it to good use.

You actually USE a 1 3/4 horse Dewalt in your router table? I thought I was the only one that did that and now I see there are 3 of us. I have been using mine for almost 10 years now and have not felt the need to upgrade. These are excellent projects BTW.

Great router table and router … I own 5 routers and they all do the job for me. ...
I admire your choice of material for your table.
Again, I like the dust bin under the router being shortened up to create more drawer space … Brilliant.
