After recently having a baby boy I had completed most of the baby proofing stuff people normally do but I had a couple other challenges there were not simple solutions to. One of them was the fact that I have an aquarium and some cat food bowls that needed to be kept separate from the baby, he’s dying to eat their food for some reason. I had a doweling jig sitting around that I never found a excuse to use yet so I got some cheap lumber from the box store, it was treated yellawood type stuff that was a little under dried it turns out. I designed this in sketchup, changed the ends of it on the fly so it didn’t come out exactly as I wanted but time was a factor here so a little bit of a rush on this one. It fits and works as intended and the little guy can’t get around it YET but I’m sure that will change. I wanted to share it since I looked all over for something commercially built that would do this and didn’t find anything that wasn’t really expensive or very cheaply made. All told I think I spent $30 making this? Everything is doweled together except for the feet, the outside ones are screwed and swivel and the inner ones are bolted on with recessed bolts.
