Nicely done with the grain matching on the sides. Attention to details! Love it!

Good stuff. Can only imagine what it would look like quarter sawn.

Wow, I like these boxes – of course I like all of your boxes. Are you doing anything to support the mitered corners – like a spline on the inside? Just curious.

Also, are you going to be at Jazz Fest this year?

I like the continuous grain around the corners, really I like the whole box. Beautiful

Bill…I don’t feel that the splined mitered corners add any significant support…especially with the claims of the glue manufacturers that the glues today are stronger than the wood itself..If a splined miter came unglued it would have a ugly gap held together by a spline….I have never had a glued miter joint come unglued…and I have had boxes fall off my display about 4 feet onto the ground.

I’m not going to be at jazz Fest this year. I got waitlisted…but we will be in Nashville

Nice one, Greg!

I agree with you completely that corner splines are basically just decorative. And I’m sorry I won’t see you at Jazz Fest this year.

Grizzman…the Zebrawood is one of my favorites also and the customers seem to like it. Hoping these will only be a memory after Nashville

Charlie…I made a spline jig several years ago and have only used it a couple of times.
Hopefully, we will be at Jazz Fest next year…It is one of my best shows and is so close by.
