This is actually my first wood working project completed back in April ‘05.
Built from plans I received from Knotty Plans.
Finish sanded to 220 with Minwax Golden Pecan.
- NEVER pull a full sheet of plywood off the rack by yourself (I know, common sense). The original intent was for this to be made from red oak ply, but my local HD had the plywood mislabled. It was at about nose height so I couldn’t see it was birch instead of red oak. Normally that wouldn’t be an issue, but as I was pulling the sheet, by myself, I misjudged the last inch and the whole sheet fell edge down from 5’ straight onto my big toe. At that point it didn’t matter what was going on around me, I just wanted to get my material home and tend to my broken toe, thus the mis-matched wood.
