I built this for my son for his birthday. It is divided into two sections (1 for his toys and 1 for his hotwheels). The section for his cars has a hole in the top covered by a little garage, so when he is done playing he drives his car in and into the box. The city skyline has his initals on one of the buildings. I made this out of MDF.

Great paint job, cool design.
Not sure if you have this covered because the lid is closed. I made a toy box a couple of years ago and one lesson that I learned is that you need to have a special hinge to keep the lid from crashing down on a kid’s head. I think this came up in FWW this month as well.

Thats great looking, and he must love it. I used to paint harleys, and did plenty of flames in my past. You did a great job.

Awesome. Love the garage to put away the cars idea.
The finish looks great. I’ll have to hit you up for some tips on my next MDF project.

This is a great looking project and is probably going to be a memory maker for your son. Thanks for posting.
