Hello friends!,

I have been away from the carving stump for a few months. I have been learning other aspects of hand tool woodwork. It was nice to get back to carving a little after being lucky enough to get some really nice Apple wood earlier this week.

As always I thank those fine spoon carvers out there for the inspiration and education on various shapes and styles.

I can certainly appreciate how hard these artisans work making many of these within one week, that is not for me and so my kudos to you that do it so well. I wish you great success.

A big thanks to Wille Sundqvist, Jogge Sundqvist, Jarrod Stone Dahl, Magnus Sundelin, Nigel Leach, Steve Tomlin, Robin Wood, Jon Mac, Peter Follansbee
just to name a few of my inspirations that have guided my carving of spoons.

An even bigger thanks to all of my LJ’S Buddies on here. This is the greatest site to share ideas on, thanks so much friends for your comments and contributions. I get inspiration all of the time from all of your wonderful woodwork.

I now carve for relaxation and enjoyment only, when I get time it is nice to make something handmade and so a wooden spoon from green wood is a great piece to create and share with family and friends.

I had a blast making this, and that is what it is all about.

Enjoy your carving friends!

Great job! You say Spring but I say it reminds me of summer – looks like the perfect size to eat ice cream, but much better than those little wooden paddles. Thanks for sharing.
