Hi, I know this project is not made of wood but it will be cutting wood. I made this blade two months ago. I ordered 1095 steel sheet of 100 cm x 7 cm and 0,8 mm to make a 32 in. frame saw blade. A used a blackburn tools template for 4 1/2 ppi and with the help of two files I made it. It took me 2 hours of sharpenig. The hardware it is made with an iron square tube and an eyebolt. I use it in my frame saw and it works better than the old blade not just because it is longer and wider but because the new attahcment of the blade allows me to tension it better and the blade is parallel to the frame. I hope you like it.

Nice blade. Looks to be a great upgrade to your frame saw. Thanks for sharing, Isra!

Hey Isra,
Nice looking saw. I saw your kerfing plane as another of your projects. Is this saw built as a re-saw / ripping saw?

Have you tried re-sawing yet? How hard is it? If you do some re-sawing please post about it.

Good luck!

Hi, Parkerdude, sorry for this late comment. I have been resawing a lot since I used it, I am working on a wardrobe that it is madev of oak and I rip a 20 iinch wide x 50 inch long and it took some time but not as much as I thought. Take a look at my blog (sorry it is only in spanish but I have a lot of pictures there) I posted a lot about resawing and using of the kerfing plane. Again sorry for being so late. Thanks for your comments.
