This is a desk I made for my daughter. It’s purpose is to sit in the Kitchen. As my daughter gets around in a wheelchair, this desk is considerably shorter than a normal one. You can see this in the last pic, with our kitchen countertop on the left. The design is loosely based on one in Woodsmith, Vol. 35, No. 210. I strayed from this design in several ways to accommodate the different height. The Sketchup model for this desk can be found here.
This was easy to build. I chose to use construction grade lumber from Lowes since my daughter wanted this thing painted. Not a big fan of paint, but the customer is always right..;-)

SAWBUCK!? Give your self more credit. I immediately thought of campaign furniture. Reminds me of something I’m planning on making for my son. see link below.
