I bought a WoodRiver #5 V3 plane about 6 months ago and could not be more pleased with it. Woodcraft had a 15% off sale so I bought the package deal of 3 planes (#4, #6, & block plane) they offer that saves about $100 if bought separately plus the 15% making it a great deal. Have a cheap #3 that’s useless from harbor freight that will hit the trash can once I get a WR #3 and also have a Stanley #92 shoulder plane. This should tide me over for now.

I needed a place for storing the planes so I found some area I could use in the shop and built this Plane Till this morning for free as it is all made from scrap.

Added leather straps for safety:

Nice-looking plane till. I actually love the WoodRiver planes, despite owning fancier Veritas and Lie-Nielsen planes. I only have the #6, but I wouldn’t mind owning some more.
