Just wanted to share a picture of the progress on my workbench. Because I build furniture, I wanted my workbench to reflect the style of the furniture that I make. This is roughly 8 feet wide and 4 feet deep. Still working on the top – trying to understand my future needs for bench dogs, etc. The middle section are drawers that pull out for storage, while the ends are actually fake doors. They swing out for larger cabinet storage (like Shop Vac, etc).

Designed to look like an antique map chest – absolutely love the storage it provides.

Love the map chest design.

The look is quite attractive to my eye. The door design is definitely an interesting thought. Might have to do a bit of rework on my shop bench now.

Absolutely love it! I love that you gave me another way to look at building what I need with building what I’ve often dreamed about, but may not need. Great work too, my compliments

Nice! My bench is the same size, but has an MDF top and five 2-drawer file cabinets for storage. Not near as nice.
