Here is a Walnut easel I built for my wife for Christmas. I reclaimed the old walnut boards from a wall in the house and in the loft of the barn. They were very wide and she wanted a table built out of them but they were much to bowed and cracked for that. After watching her paint on that old 3 legged toothpick easel of hers It came to me what to use the Walnut boards for! While buying the hardware I purchased some plastic knobs like the easels in the art store, but when I got home I thought they looked cheep and couldn’t stand to put them on. So I decided to make matching, multi faceted walnut knobs and I am glad I did.
Happy cutting

That is absolutely awesome. I love the knobs. Walnut is one of my favorite woods. Too bad my wife does not like real dark furniture. Luckily she doesn’t mind dark accent pieces.
Keep up the good work, and keep showing it off.

That is a very nice looking easel. Just a little bit better than the one behind it.
