Thanks to the Lumber jack for this idea. Now I have more ideas for that pile of cedar in my yard. I will find him again and more small ideas, since I don’t have anything really good to use for anything big. A friend of mine gave me the wood and just don’t have it in me to burn it. The kleenex box is out of the pile of cedar that was given to me. I made the bread box out of pine to go with the cabinets and painted it. I know alot of you don’t like painted wood. I love it all! Give me rustic, natural, Cherry, Cedar, anything. Yes, even painted. I love it all. It’s all beautiful. I also like painting. These are both for my cabin on the river. Looking forward to seeing running water in my new kitchen this year!

Very rustic. Great for a cabin.

Keep up the great work, and keep showing it off.

these are great!!
And I don’t think “painting ON wood” is the same as “painted wood”. You obviously respect the wood itself and the paint highlights its beauty, in my opinion.

Great job

Great job, Janice.
I like projects of this type.

NICE!!!!! Great ideas and uses for the wood you were given!!! Will fit right nicely up at your cabin … heck that bread box would fit nicely in MY kitchen – hahahaha!!!!

Again, I love your style and imagination. Both projects turned out beautifully. :-)
