I have an old Fender Bass amp that needed repair so I took it to a friend of mine, who is a very good tech, he worked on my amp for about 4 hours testing and fixing and testing and fixing, he replaced all of the tubes etc. .
when we settled up he only charged me $75.00 which is about $50 less than the tubes are worth.
in order to try and make it right with him I made him the amp cradle. it is out of oak, the adjustable arms that hold the amplifier so that he can work on it are made from maple. the cradle can hold amplifiers from 10” wide to 29” wide and he can change the angle so that it is easier for him to work on them. He likes it.
