This bowl was the first time I had worked with Zebrawood, a gift from a woodworking friend of my son. The open nature was something I wanted to experiment with. Not bad for serving rolls, bread or fruit, but the salad tends to drip through the holes, so I generally make solid bowls now. Since my wife relegated it to the basement storage shelves, I may take it to the next craft fair and see if it will sell to someone who will treat it with more respect. The base is Walnut, and the rim and intermediate rim are Maple.
