Ash Log on the mill too big to move so I cut it in half. The log was cut in half as it was too big to lift as a whole log. Since it was already in half it yielded almost perfect knot free quartersawn ash. The log was a good ash log and will make great drawer stock.

I had an ash tree that was felled in back our house awhile back…was able to salvage a solid 12 ft section. Had a mobile wood mill come in an cut it up on site for me. Man, that is some nice wood. Had it drying for 3 years and ready to make something now. Widest cut was a full 13”. Your ash looks a little bigger than mine…
