My Mom’s birthday is in mid- April. My daughter and I wanted to make her something that she would like, and out of wood. I came up with the idea of a log cabin birdhouse. She could enjoy it every time she looked out her back windows, and it would create some extra activity/entertainment for her. I thought it would also be a bit more challenging to build it to scale, partially as a way for my daughter to Practice Math. ~ : D

Fantastic idea and result.
I love it.
Thank you for sharing.
Bob.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

She loves it! Plus, while I was there I cleaned out another dormant birdhouse(bluebird) and hung in a good spot, so she’ll have a flurry of activity soon!

Very cool. Looks like the birds took advantage of the federal rebate on solar panels. ;-)

What a great idea and unique birdhouse. What mom wouldn’t be pleased with such a gift? Well done!

Did you notice that there were multiple pages to the instructions? As you scroll down there is an orange ‘Next’ to click on to take you to subsequent pages. Have another look at the link and I think your desire for details will be satisfied. HTH

Cool birdhouse, well done. I like building birdhouses. What is the material you used for the roof? A great Mother’s Day gift.
