Juniper King bed frame

Took me 4 months to build this king bed frame for my boyfriend. The entire bed is built with old growth juniper and the twisted juniper is local. I helped mill the 6×8 posts and 2×8 for the frame. It was a challenging, but fun project. I used Watco oil finish, but would have prefered a polycrilic finish.

Cool!!

How do you remove the bark on pieces so.. twisted..? What kind of finish did you use? What would you do differently “next time”..?

Cheers!

Now that’s one beautiful bed. Sure wish I could swap you a pickup full of spalted oak for some twisted juniper. I would LOVE to play with some of that. Welcome to LbJ

Wow, those are fantastic! Really nice design. Great eye for wood selection and placement, very pleasing. Super sturdy too. Great projects! Love seeing them.
