I started out making two planters for my Japanese maples and then a light bulb appeared over my head (people stared… it was awkward) why not make it into a bench? Everything is cedar except the base. I made the base out of PT 2×4s. Perfect for sitting down to enjoy a good cigar!

Very nice idea, the bench encloses just right that little area, and wood is always welcome everywhere! great job!

Unique and nicely done. Great work! Does it have a finish, and if so what is it? Thanks!

That will be even more cool when the trees get some size.

I like it. Simple and functional. Nothing like a good cigar. I’m partial to Macanudos.

Very nice… I was just describing this exact thing to my wife today… going to make the planters our herb garden. It’s #4 on my to-make list :).
