This rustic paper towel holder was a very appropriate project to finish on Easter. The back board and two supports were made from a single log which was the remainder of a cherry tree which went down in our yard several years ago. I almost threw it away but decided to mill it, out of curiosity. It turned out the grain looked fantastic and there was just enough to use for this project.
Death, resurrection, beauty.

A good looking project and a great recycling of the wood.

I like it too. Most wood ones have a spring loaded rod that is hard to actuate.

Weird, I’m not sure why someone would go with a spring loaded rod when a solid rod works just fine.
