This is a Basket I made recently, Molesworth-Inspired, with a Horse Saddle Carving on each end, painted black.

Project Story:

I built a few extra Baskets as I was working out the design I wanted to donate to a fund raiser coming up soon at my kid’s elementary school. That Donation basket is posted here

The End Panels and Bottom are Salvaged antique Pine wood. I believe the Natural Twigs are from Ash Saplings. The Twig End Ties are Raw Cowhide String. The carving is done free hand with a router, and is then hand painted. The top finish is Gold Oak Stain, with a clear Satin Lacquer.

Very nice magazine rack for a good cause. You come up with the darndest things, so neat, where do you get the ideas? Nice job. m
