This is a kitchen I made for a client. The exterior is poplar and maple ply painted and glazed. The interior is Maple Melamine. The frames are beaded. The detail on the hood is tile which ads a cool effect. All the components were purchased from PearlWorks including the crown. The doors with the arches were made by me but the standard doors were ordered from Drees wood products. As a professional outsourcing is the most feasible way, but it doesn’t mean we don’t know how to do something. That’s why I chose to make the arched doors. I also made the curved fronts on the island. In the pics included the job wasn’t complete. We still needed to adjust the doors, ad a front on the warming drawer, install some doors, etc.
This end of the island has an open bay for the clients dogs
Other end of island
Refridgerator view. Notice the leaded glass in the arched doors
Double oven
section between double oven and Refridgerator
Pantry
Close up of hood. The top part of the detail is a frieze we installed. The black section is tile.
This area turns into a desk. The desk is between 2 cabinets like the stained one you see here. I don’t know why I don’t have pics of it. This pic shows the cabinet before it was complete

Afterthought- if you have time, I’d be interested in learning the glazing techniques you use. I’ve never done glazing, and would like to learn how it’s done.

That’s some great looking work Keith. I’ve been outsourcing doors for years and making the custom doors myself also.
Would have been nice though if you could have built a space for the dishwasher, looks kind of funny sitting out there by itself ;)
Did you do the coffered ceilings also?

OOOOOOOOOOBABY, First, what an elegant design, classy. Beautiful colors. So much to praise. That island is fantastic, just top notch, something to behold and enjoy. Man, got to rethink my kitchen design. Not that it would come anywhere near that , but some small details I might adapt to my abilities. You really are at the top of your field. Beautiful!

Beautiful job Keith. Looks very similar to the quality of cabinets that we build in our shop. We also use a lot of the Pearl Works moldings and appliques. We have our own door department and we also have an in-house carver and finishing department. They do a lot of different glazes and finishes too. Job well done.

All of your work is great, I’ve considered getting into cabinetry in the past and seeing your work makes me consider it again. I’m in San Diego maybe we can collaborate on a project sometime. Thanks for posting.
