I recently completed this bathroom vanity using poplar wood. The stain is General Finishes wipe on gel. After sealing with shellac I used a coat of Georgian Cherry then after it dried I used a coat of Java. Then two coats or Arm-R-Seal top coat, semi gloss. It was the first time I used these products and I was very satisfied. I hope you like the finished look.

Great color and nice looking cabinet. Do you mind if I ask how you applied the finish (wipe, brush, sponge, spray)?

Hi Chief
A little too dark for my liking but still a beautiful job of finishing. It is very nice looking and you did a great job on this piece. Thanks for posting.
God Bless

I think the color came out great and I love the hardware you chose. They go well with the piece. I’m a fan of the gel stains. I think they’re easy to apply and come out nice.
