I was commissioned to build a kitchen island top for a customer. The top is 5 1/2’ long X 4’ wide 2” thick. All eastern red cedar.

That is striking. I would make more from ERC, but people don’t ask for it. I have a good local source even.

Thank again everyone for the nice replies, the finishing. I finish it with Minway clear gloss polyurethane, I apply it by hand with a 2 1/2” angle brush, this table got 8 coats of poly to give it that glass finish look. All of our finishes are done by brush, I hope this helps.
