Finally finished my first big serious woodworking project. It took about 2 months. I used bubinga and hard maple. There is earring storage on the right side and all four containers are movable ( magnets holding). Left side for necklace storage and 5 drawers for watch, bracelet, ring etc. Top and bottom pieces jointed together with dado and shelves doweled. For finish i made my own wiping varnish and applied 4 coats. Because no way to find ready made stuff here in Turkey. I did lots of mistakes but I think looks fine considering that I’m a new woodworker.
Thanks…

Murat, this is a gorgeous cabinet. The woods are beautiful and contrast well with one another. The finish looks good as well. You did the right thing by making your own since (1) it is so easy to make and (2) commercially available wiping finishes are extremely costly for what you are buying.
Nice job.

Really great looking cabinet. The woods you used make a nice project. I also like the way you matched the top.
I guess now your wife will have to go shopping to fill it ????

If that is your 1st project, I can’t wait to see what you do next. I think my first project might have been a door stopper or something. What a great start!
