I know it’s been quite a while since I posted a project, but, I have been busy, really. Haven’t been in the hammock once,...................yet. :) That time is coming soon. Anyhoo, I’ve been working on this “paint-bench” for the wifee’s paint room on and off for a few months. The carcases are 3/4 and the drawers are all 1/2” w/3/4” plywood face. She wanted something that she would have plenty of storage for paints, etc., and a nice area for an easel or two. We grabbed the mitered counter tops during a decent sale at Manards up there in Columbus, IN. A nice drive and Wow!, what a store, Manards is. Sheesh! Anyhoo again, Kat painted the carcases a green color called Dried Tyme, and I stained the drawer faces with some Generals Black Cherry get stain. It gives it all a nice earthy look about it, and final coated w/MinWax Poly, 3-coats. The drawer pulls are antique bronze and I used some scraps to fab up a nifty jig for installing them on the drawers. That clamp you see in that pic is on of 4 I purchased from Manards w/the counter tops, for 5 bux on sale, plus, they gave me a 5 buck rebate, so, the 4 clamps were free. WhoopWhoop! I like that 4-letter F-word. Anyhoo/3, thnx for stoppin by and any and all comments, good/bad/ugly are always appreciated…................well, not the ugly ones. lol. It feels good to get a project posted…......It’s been a while. I’ll post a few more pics below

Nice job Roger one that counts and will put you back in the good graces.
Now I guess you deserve some hammock time and a Guinness or two but then get back to some real stuff and post it .

Happy Easter .

Beautiful bench Roger. Your wife will love it, I’m sure. I know what you mean about Menards. I experienced one on a visit to my dad’s place in Illinois. Wow, what a store.

I wondered why this bench was so nice and then I read that it was for your wife.

Some people have it and some people don’t. You, Roger, have it in abundance.

Your wife must be painting with a big smile now.
Even the cat looks pleased.
Is that a sausage in your ear?
Fine work and what a wonderful shop you have.
Thought the drawer handle was a hold fast when I saw it on the second picture in the comments, but could not figure out how it was bale to hold…
Ahhh yes the hammock, I think I need soon to go out and have a night in mine also.
Best thoughts,
Mads

That looks really great Roger. I’ll bet your wife just can’t say enough good about you!

We have a Menards in Topeka and you said it what a store. They have just about everything don’t they? Do not go there very often because I spend too much money.

You go Roger.
You got style, my man.
Good job on your cabinets. And the fact that they are for the little woman… Well that’s just special.

Lookin good. I wish I would have gotten the multi colored floor tiles instead of all gray.
