This is pretty low tech. A bent and sharpened allen wrench CA glued into a birch pen blank. I had some cut offs of some pretty primo curly maple and hated to throw it away so I made mini hollows. Ear plug for size reference.

Wow on both pieces. I have so many extra allen wrenches that need a new purpose in life and you just showed me what it is.

finally, a use for all those Ikea allen keys I’ve collected over the years.
