Just a small jewelry/keepsake box … was too cold to play outside this weekend so I played in the shop instead!

Sides are figured cherry, the feet and lid are from a nice piece of sycamore that displays some light spalting.
The lifting knob is Wenge and the tray inside is maple.

Finish is a light sprayed coat of de-waxed shellac followed by several coats of lacquer with a light sanding with 400 grit prior to the final coat.

Quite interesting and unusual -nonstandard design. That’s why it is so nice.
